Service sector industries are the most common forms of employment in Liverpool. The banking, financial services and insurance sectors are one of the fastest growing employment sectors. Big employers like Barclays, Abbey National, Alliance & Leicester, JPMorgan, Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) and HBOS have all had a good presence in the City along with new call centres and telesales jobs being established.
